Ireland looks like a mountainous country, although the altitudes
of its mountains are modest. It is a large ancient massif slightly sunk inside,
which has been occupied by sedimentary rocks forming, thus, a rippled plain.
The mountains have an altitude of between 150 and 900 meters. The highest peak
is Mount Carrantuohill which reaches 1,041 meters.
